Turbo Power Systems, a prominent player in the global rail industry, has been awarded the prestigious Silver International Railway Industry Standard (IRIS) Certification. This international recognition marks a higher level of accreditation for the company, demonstrating their commitment to excellence in their business management operations.
Supported by operators, system integrators and equipment manufacturers, the IRIS Certification® system is based on technical requirements (ISO/TS 22163) and conformity assessment. The aim of IRIS is to create a culture of quality that brings benefits to all stakeholders in the rail supply chain.
The IRIS Certification® Silver quality performance level is bestowed upon rail companies that not only meet the baseline requirements for the Bronze level but also fulfil additional, more stringent criteria. The process involved rigorous evaluation and assessment against internationally recognised standards with TPS being awarded certification with no major / minor non-conformities identified. It required meticulous planning, implementation, and continuous improvement efforts to align with the specified criteria.
Carlos Neves, CEO at Turbo Power Systems, commented, “This new certification level reinforces our historical performance and promise to our rail customers and partners that we are committed to delivering industry leading products and services that meet and exceed their expectations. We remain committed to embracing new challenges, staying ahead of industry trends and continuously elevating our standards on all market sectors we are working on.”
In addition, the business also holds internationally recognised accreditations ISO 9001 (Quality Systems) and ISO 45001 (Health & Safety), demonstrating the company’s commitment to maintaining and enhancing the highest standards across all areas of its operations.
As Turbo Power Systems strengthens its position as a trusted and certified player in the rail industry, the certification serves as a driving force for enhancing the quality of rail services and products worldwide, ultimately benefiting the entire rail supply chain. It reflects the company’s willingness to adapt to evolving industry standards and best practices, contributing to the overall growth and progress of the sector on an international scale.
